A man is dead after sources say he was struck by a model helicopter in Brooklyn.

The incident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the corner of Shore Parkway and Bay 44th Street, according to fire officials.

Fire officials say they found a man with a severe head wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

...model helicopter.

Sources tell NY1 that he was flying a model helicopter in the area when it fell and hit him in the head.

An important point. No less of a tragedy, of course, but at least there is no other party implicated.

SCALPED: Man dies in horrifying model helicopter accident:

A young man died in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon after he was scalped by a model helicopter.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the horrifying accident at Shore Parkway and Bay 44th St. where the 19-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to sources, the blades of the chopper took off the top of the man’s head.
