The sign, which uses the word 'neutralize' in reference to the president, sparked complaints to the FBI and divided residents

Robert Nessle put the message up in late March urging people to vote Nov. 3, 2026, in a way that "DJT" would be "neutralized." The message was attached on his property near the Gore Mountain ski center and on a main route used by locals and tourists alike. The message was part of a post used to display other signs, including one advertising events at the town's community center, Tannery Pond.
To some people, the sign called for violence against the president of the United States. Nessle's anti-President Donald Trump message uses a verb that some residents consider off-putting at best, violent to the extreme at worst. Town of Johnsburg Supervisor Sterling Goodspeed said it could be interpreted as "threatening."

Both of these Trump would benefit from.
