Vote count continues in Democratic primary for New York City mayor

NEW YORK -- The New York City Board of Elections is spending the weekend double-checking the counts on all those voting machines, and it plans to start counting paper ballots Monday.

The apparent winner of the Democratic primary, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, campaigned in Harlem on Saturday.

Runner-up Bill Thompson was in Harlem Sunday morning for the 12th annual African American Day Parade breakfast.

De Blasio got about 40 percent of the vote, just enough to avoid a runoff election, but Thompson has yet to concede.
