That's the liberal position. My housemate listened to Dr. Alan Chartock on the radio (NPR)discussing this. He said that these are the best of the best and many go on to have distinguished legal careers after forced retirement.

When I was a kid, growing up in Saratoga, my mother didn't like us venturing far from home during August when the track was open. A lot of dubious characters came to town during racing season.
