Bryant Park shooting suspect facing arraignment

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The 16-year-old suspect in the double shooting in Bryant Park over the weekend is expected to be arraigned Monday.

Corey Dunton is charged with attempted murder, assault criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment after police say he shot a 20-year-old man who refused to hand over his jacket.

A 14-year-old who was skating in the park Saturday night was struck in the back, and his family fears he may never walk again.

Police say the incident began with Dunton trying to steal a Marmot Mammoth parka, commonly known as the Biggie, which retails for up to $700, from 20-year-old Javier Contreras.
