Judge To Order Closure Of Bed-Stuy Hospital After Talks Break Down

A judge on Monday is expected to order the closure of the cash-strapped Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, according to spokesman for the judge handling the case.

The in Bedford-Stuyvesant hospital filed for bankruptcy a year ago but creditors, unions and hospital officials entered into mediation last month.

The talks are said to have broken down on Friday.

The judge had originally set next Thursday, December 26, as the closure date.
