In one of my apartments on the Lower East Side I had to buy fuel oil for the building one cold weekend.

and I hope you have made arrangements to stay warm if the power goes out....I have a propane heater that keeps me and my puppy warm if we lose power...and I have a propane stove so I can still cook...I also have lamps that run on batteries if I need light...

which is ordinarily not a problem there except it's being dumped on top of about 15 inches they already have on the ground.

And people wonder why I left.

Really cold here (MI). Snow missed me here. We already have well over a foot on the ground, a lot this early. It's going to be a tough winter here, I suspect.
