The board of the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum on Thursday voted to charge an adult admission of $24 the museum, museum officials said.
Family members of victims who died in the terrorist attacks would not be charged to visit the site. There will also be three hours each week for the public to enter for free and receive various discounts, officials said.
The hefty price tag to visit the somber site would not be a suggested donation. Instead, it would be required.
The cost is close to how much it costs to visit the MoMA, which now charges $25 admission.

(8,830 posts)Get your passport, if you don't have it - and go. Sit down, plan it out, figure out how much money you'll need, save the money . . . and go.
You'll never get there otherwise.
It's not cheap, but it's not as out of the world expensive as you may think. Make it happen. You'll be glad you did.
