Pavilion Theater owner apologizes for management calling cops on diabetic strawberry-eating patron

This Park Slope movie theater has made sweet on its sour.

The owner of the Pavilion Theater apologized Friday to a diabetic strawberry-loving patron on behalf of a manager who called the cops on him for bringing the forbidden fruit into the movie house.

“I think the way the situation was handled was not correct and we apologize sincerely,” owner Ben Kafash told The News hours after he made amends with moviegoer Michael Kass.

Kass, 41, was ordered out of the movie theater on Mar. 23 by two police officers after the financial analyst, who has Type 2 diabetes, brought in a store-bought carton of strawberries to munch on during a screening of “Divergent.”

1. Good result and maybe some beneficial changes will

come out of this episode. I would imagine the sugar intake can be a serious problem for diabetics.

2. Yes. my mother is diabetic and when she goes to the movies she eats nothing.
