Transfer of Ginna nuclear power plant complete

Federal regulators on Tuesday approved the transfer of operating licenses for the Ginna power plant and four other nuclear generating stations to new majority owner Exelon Corp.

Chicago-based Exelon, one of the nation's largest electricity generators, closed on its $7.9 billion merger with Constellation Energy in March 2012, but needed two more years to clear regulatory hurdles.
