Poll shows NYC residents uninterested in 2014 baseball season

By Matthew L. Mckibben

With the 2014 baseball season under way, and as Derek Jeter is set to take the field in his final New York Yankees home-opener in the Bronx, a poll released today shows a staggering number of New York City residents are uninterested in America's greatest past time.

The poll, conducted by the New York Times, New York 1, and Siena College, found that 41 percent of city residents were "not interested at all" in this year's season, compared to just 18 percent who said they were "very interested."
