I still remember an ice storm from over a decade ago - we were without power for a week, sub freezing temps in the house...most miserable we've been in our 20 years living here. Roads could get really bad. Seems like it starts early tomorrow (Wed) and goes all day and night....south of us, there is nasty coming in today as well (we miss that one). At least it warms up later in the week, so anything that falls and sticks won't linger nearly as long as have some in the past.

We lost power for 5 days. Miserable. I'm not looking forward to this (ice, not snow).

4. latest warning has 3-5 inches of snow, 1/2 inch of ice for Raleigh a bit west - it is

a pretty complex storm system....I think anything is possible in this upcoming mess! Gotta get out early to buy dog and cat food....then hunkering down for a few days!

I don't mind being snowed in as long as there is power.
