I think this is the first January/February when there has been no snow on the mountains. Oh, we've had some, it's just gone in all this spring weather.

Our next chance is Tuesday. I'm not holding my breath, we'll get sprinkles if we get anything.

They can pipe oil all over the freaking country. Why not rain/snow? It would have to be collected someplace first I guess.

if they were shipping water to the agricultural areas of the south and southwest with it.

I'd get behind something like that.

In the meantime, I'm so glad I'm not in Boston this year.

I'll be kvetching about desert summer heat soon enough.

The warm weather is beautiful, of course, but we *really* need the rain and some snow in the Sierras. This is going to be another really dry summer-after several other very dry years.

Very worrisome for residents and farmers. Much US fruits and veggies come from Cali. If this drought is the "new normal", we'll be buying it all from freakin China - nasty tasting and probably poisoned with who knows what. And...expensive.

family in CA...i will be there soon. but to be honest i am glad we get a taste of winter. breaks up the monotony, and it's pretty when you gaze out from your heated apartment.

I can stand too warm easier than too cold. Heat pumps just suck in really cold weather - and especially snow and ice.

I went out to California a couple Christmases ago and HATED coming back to the cold rain of NC. Granted it *should* have been raining in Cali - this is one of the recent years leading to the drought - but it was just gorgeous! Every time the weather here sucks (most of the time, IMO), I get that 'California Dreamin' song going through my head!
