Reverend Barber and the Pope
As our regular readers know, DKos Asheville is holding an online auction to raise money for St. James AME Church in Asheville in appreciation of their hosting Rev. William Barber at their church on Friday, September 25th. DKos staff and volunteers have been working hard to bring Rev. Barber and associated staff to Asheville. The logistics of his trip have taken many hours of consultation with NC NAACP, arrangements for transportation and lodging, and coordination with St. James AME. Last night we learned that our guest has had to make a couple of adjustments to his previous schedule. On Thursday, the day before his appearance in Asheville, Rev. Barber will be in Washington DC to meet with the Pope!
The way I see it, his appearance in Asheville on Friday, 9/25, will be doubly blessed!
