Something so heartwarming just happened here!

I was here at the computer and started hearing a bunch of car horns just honking and honking down the road a bit.

I stepped outside and there began an absolutely amazing parade of cars, at least 50 or 60, slowly parading by with handwritten and decorated posters on them saying stuff like: Read, Watch Netflix, Order In, Enjoy Your Family, Love Your Pets, We'll Get Through This, Embrace Hope, Love One Another, and on and on and on. Balloons and streamers flying in the wind, beautiful people of all ages, children, teens, parents, grandparents, all smiling and waving and hollering out their car windows to the people who had ventured out to watch. They even had motorcycle police escorts...

What a wonderful thing to do! I've still got tears running down my face, but for the first time in a long time, they're tears of joy and hope instead of sorrow and pain. I just wish I hadn't been so stunned that I didn't even think to run in for my camera!

Angels show up when we least expect them!

What great people. It seems this parade and others are an organized sort of teacher "visits" to students in numerous neighborhoods, here and in other locales, to reach out since schools have been closed.

Well, I reckon I was one of their kids today, dagnabbit!
