For the people here in Ohio, you can vote by absentee and all you need to do is...

Follow these easy steps...

To vote by mail is spelled out below.

Here are a details per the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections web site....

How to Vote Vote by Mail / Absentee

Electors do not have to state a reason to request and vote a Vote by Mail / Absentee ballot. However, every application for a Vote by Mail / Absentee ballot must satisfy all the requirements set forth in Ohio Revised Code. The application need not be in any particular form but shall contain the following:
■The elector’s name
■The elector’s signature
■The address at which the elector is registered to vote
■The elector’s date of birth

One of the following:
◦The elector’s driver’s license number;
◦The last four digits of the elector’s social security number;
◦Copy of a current and valid photo identification, a military identification, current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document (other than a voter registration notification mailed by a Board of Elections) that shows your name and current address;

■A statement identifying the election for which the absent voter’s ballots are requested;
■A statement that the person requesting the ballot is a qualified elector;
■If the request is for a primary election, the elector’s party affiliation;
■The address to which the ballot shall be mailed if different from registered address

in the Cuyahoga River? I think that is the real issue with those groups who traditionally vote early in person.

I served on the Board of Election here in Cuyahoga County and was able to watch over on full election cycle. Let me tell you that for every step in the process there is one democrat and one republican watching over what is being done...

6. And, I'm sure that you do everything possible to ensure the sanctity of the process in-house..

But, do you have bi-partisan volunteers monitoring the process before these ballots are "officially" accepted for review/counting? In other words, what process ensures these bags of ballots are overseen from the post office distribution centers/local post office to the final destination where they are "officially accepted". And, I'm not at all casting aspersions on the PO staff. But at every point of the process there are opportunities for those with malevolent intentions to intervene.

All I'm saying is that in this era where there have been so many documented "irregularities" in the voting/counting process (and some of that in Ohio), when the RETHUGS have done everything possible to undermine voting rights and processes, ensuring that there is adequate opportunity for in-person voting still ought to be a priority. I think many are very unsure whether absentee ballots are handled appropriately--or even ever counted.

even voting.

BTW, as they come into the Board of Election, there is one democrat and one republican to oversee the ballots from step one all the way through the recounts.

If some one is infiltrating the post office to sabotage the voting by mail process then, as I started off with, why bother voting...

I am not attacking you and would appreciate your not doing so to me.

It's really a great way to vote because you can have all the info at your hand so if there is someone on the ballot that you don't know, you can look up on the internet to find out about them...

But it is important for Ohio to keep voting as accessible as possible to all of its citizens. So many in my county (Summit) voted early and in person. In 2008, we were allowed to have a separate site for early voting with a large amount of parking. This time Alex Arshnikoff and Husted have blocked THAT.

It is hateful what is happening in Ohio.
