I know of fifteen people who have had it, including a family of nine (all recovered completely in a week). Two people I know have died. Both were not in good health when they were infected.

I did not include in my tally my best friend’s mom, who died back in May, she had all the symptoms but tested negative. (So awful... they did not get her test results back for 14 days, and by then she was gone). But her doctors all felt she had it. My friend had to say goodbye to her mom over the phone.

I’m so sorry for your friend’s loss. This is a truly evil disease.

My sister-in-law was placed on a ventilator this morning!

Her multiple upturns and downturns have been amazing and exhausting! I'm glad that I didn't try to provide regular updates here because they would've repeatedly swung back and forth wildly between positive and negative.

Here was my original thread about it, which seems like "ancient history" after only ten days because of everything that's been reported about her condition and treatments in the interim:

This virus seems to have such wide variances of symptoms and severity of symptoms. Just crazy. And all this after only ten days.... yikes.

Here’s hoping for better days ahead for all of you. 🤞🤞🤞

I get so mad when I STILL hear dumbasses saying “It’s not as bad as everyone says it is!”

... the experts and testimonials about it after all of these months!

My evangelical sister's stupid Fox-viewing husband seems to finally believe it's serious after all of the back-and-forth about the sister-in-law. (I view my sister as a religious kook, but she's not a mean-type like he seems to be. And she can't stand right-wing hate talk, so maybe that's why she's taken Covid pretty seriously from the outset?)

What does that have to do with seeing everyone around you sick and believing it’s a hoax?

Our Gov. is a religious guy, a Republican and a practicing Catholic, do they think he is lying to everyone about all this? Why would he lie?

Whole family tested positive including myself after my in-laws visited (weren’t taking the virus seriously due to political reasons). They’ve now tested positive as well.

I got it the worst - violent coughing fits made it hard to breathe at times but I was able to tough it out without taking Up another hospital bed. I had nearly all symptoms - fever, fatigue, sore, stomach issues. It was rough.

We all lost smell and taste.

Nine year old son had no fever or cough but Nearly slept through three days.

This virus is no joke. I am thankful we had the resources to recover fairly quickly, though I’m not 100% yet.

Work two jobs. Fortunately one paid me to stay home and the other let me use PTO. It’s a financial hit but we will recover.

I am so sorry you were so ill! I can’t imagine not being able to breathe. That is beyond frightening to me. You are so right, this virus is absolutely no joke. It infuriates me that I STILL hear people making light of it and mocking those of us staying home, wearing masks, etc.

Glad you’re here ... glad your family made it through all right. Take care.

Two in my house, three medical professionals, the rest are coworkers. Three of the coworkers were so dire that they needed ventilators. This disease is no joke.

My son had it back in May and luckily his symptoms weren’t too bad, but no way would I want to risk being on a ventilator.
