The Dayton Air Show is this weekend....

This is always a fantastic air show for all of America....Dayton Ohio is essentially famous for this show.

I live like 5 miles away....so every year, I can see much of the show from my house....It began yesterday with the Blue Angels practicing....it is always thrilling....extra viewing for me on Thursday and Friday....

I won't attend because of the crowding, and the extreme heat...I can't tolerate that extreme heat....I so hope everyone focuses on trying to stay cool...hydrate, and they have plenty of medical attention on site for clinical emergencies...heat stroke is a great concern.

1. A buddy and I went to the '85 show (I live in the Dayton area, too).

It was a blistering hot day. There was zero shade and absolutely nowhere to sit unless you had brought your own chair (something we two recent high school graduates failed to do). Free water was scarce. We left tired and looking like two lobsters.

I like looking at planes and do so often where I can best enjoy them: in a static display in the coolness of the air force museaum.

I miss the days when channel 7 used to air it live.
