Dave Reed,House R majority leader, will run for PA-9

Dave Reed, R-Indiana, and the state house majority leader has thrown his hat in the ring to succeed Bill Shuster in PA-9, which includes Indiana County. Reed compared himself to Jimmy Stewart's Mr Smith of the movie "Mr Smith Goes to Washington".

would know we have both an Indiana, PA and Indiana County, PA. IIRC, Reed is from the City of Indiana in Indiana County. So sorry about the confusion.

The city of Indiana is not far from Johnstown. It's also home to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, more commonly called IUP.

As you can see it's been gerrymandered to death! This will surely be redrawn before the November elections. Stay tuned. As a bit of context, that CD that looks like a boot on the northeast is the 18th where Conor Lamb hopes to win this spring. Wouldn't it be great to flip both of these? It's entirely possible this year.
