The one I got came directly from Rothfus and had a self-addressed, unstamped return envelope with the address of his DC office. Both my mom and I are registered Dems, so not sure why we got it. It had questions on all the GOP priorities (immigration, taxes, infrastructure, health care), but also included a right track/wrong track question. Maybe Rothfus hired a polling firm to do a mail in survey for him. If so, maybe it's a sign that even in a gerrymandered district he doesn't feel like his re-election is a sure thing.

They promised me a $5 gift card for completing it! It had questions about my party affiliation, how often I vote, and who I would vote for in the midterms.

Rothfus-- too cheap to pay for return mail? hahahaha

Who is running against him?

Tom Prigg is a repeat challenger from last cycle. He's smart and has led an interesting life, but I've been to a couple events where he's been also and he is just too quiet to be an effective campaigner.

Here in Beaver County, Rob Matzie, the last Dem standing, has endorsed Beth Tarasi, a Sewickley lawyer. She'll probably get my vote. Probably the other primary favorite is a guy who's been a successful grassroots organizer.

I thought the same thing about not getting a pre-stamped envelope, but maybe they figure having to pony up 49 cents will stop some people from bothering to respond.

i'm starting to get a little worried about Conor Lamb because of the horrible ads Saccone is running on TV, tying him to Pelosi. He also seems like too nice of a guy, but he does have a good grassroots organization.

Sorry I don't know those other names you mentioned, but I'll look for them on Twitter. Thanks!

Prigg just doesn't seem to have that kind of personality.

Ray Lisenmayer is the grassroots organizer. Here's some info from politicspa: http://www.politicspa.com/linsenmayer-to-run-for-the-12th-congressional-district/85544/
