Authorities: Teens charged in trespassing case were in 'planning stage of school shooting'

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities have provided new details about their investigation into a trespassing incident at a Pennsylvania high school, which they are now calling a school shooting plot.

Two teenagers were arrested this week after a security breach at a Westmont Hilltop School District building in western Pennsylvania.

After taking them into custody, investigators conducted search warrants, where they found five AR-15s, a rifle, a shotgun and additional ammunition were seized from the home of 16-year-old Preston Hinebaugh.

Investigators said Hinebaugh had "access and control to at least two of the weapons at different points in time."

Why have one, or even none, when you can have five?

He was underage, so couldn't purchase them legally himself.

Plus, those things aren't cheap. They run around $800 apiece - so that means he had $4,000 worth of guns!
