Website Describes All of Corbett's Broken Promises

http://www.tomcorbettforgovernor.org/promises-broken.html

Corbett is running a radio ad that starts out by saying "Tom Corbett didn't go to Harrisburg to make friends." Yes, that is true, he already knew exactly who his friends were before he got to the Governor's Mansion, including the frackers and the for-profit charter school corporations.

The link is to a website organized by the PA. Dem. Party. Here's excerpts:

"Corbett Promised To Make Pennsylvania 1st In Job Creation. During a campaign speech at Associated Wholesalers Inc, Governor Corbett Promised, “We'll be number one in agriculture, in job creation, energy production, and education….what we need is a governor with a plan and the courage to lead the way.” [Corbett Campaign Speech, 7/29/10]

Pennsylvania Is Ranked 45th In The Nation In Job Growth. According to data collected by Arizona State University, Pennsylvania is now ranked 45th in the nation in job growth. [Arizona State University, 12/13]

Corbett Promised To Make School Funding A Top Priority. Tom Corbett's 2010 reform plan stated, "Tom Corbett believes in Pennsylvania’s education system and will make funding our schools a top priority. Putting students first means ensuring the resources intended to support their education make it to the schools and classrooms they attend." [Tom Corbett's 2010 Reform Plan]

Corbett Cut $1 Billion Dollars From K-12 Education, Failed to Restore Cuts. The Scranton Times-Tribune reported, "But Mr. Corbett's 2011-12 budget cut almost $1 billion from education, and those cuts were not restored for 2012-13." Governor Corbett once again failed to restore that funding in the 2013-2014 budget. [Scranton Times-Tribune, 7/02/13]
