Hellertown bar fight tied to Allentown FBI probe

It's fair to say the FBI probe in Allentown has set some people's nerves on edge. Some more than others, according to charges filed Wednesday in Hellertown.

The president of the Lehigh Valley Building Trades Council choked and threatened to kill a man he believed called the FBI regarding "an investigation taking place in Allentown," police say.

James E. Reilley, 57, of Lower Saucon Township surrendered Wednesday to face assault and related charges. He was freed on bail and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim, Brendan Hansbury, brother-in-law to Mike Fleck, Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski's former campaign manager.

Police say Reilley attacked Hansbury on Sept. 1 at a Hellertown pub.
