National Action Network's "Let Mullins Vote" campaign challenges Mullins election shift

Some Mullins residents are pushing back against a recent change to the city's election schedule, launching a petition drive aimed at moving municipal elections back to November.

The Marion County Chapter of the National Action Network (NAN) recently launched its "Let Mullins Vote" campaign after the Mullins City Council voted in April to move municipal elections from November to April.

NAN leaders argue the change could reduce voter participation and leave residents with fewer opportunities to cast ballots.

The controversy stems from a legal review conducted by Interim City Attorney James Bain.
