Vincent Sheheen

Does he have a good chance to defeat the winch that is Nikki Haley? He's been endorsed by every major state newspaper. I am from Greenville, SC and when I was there to vote a few weeks ago, I saw a lot of signs that supported Sheheen. However, I am currently a student at Auburn University and am wondering if anyone has heard anything about this race.

is ahead in the polls. This is SC

Things nikki has lied about..

job numbers. She says she created many jobs. The State did an article on how her numbers don't add up. IE: one company was to provide 4,000 jobs, they decided to open in another state but Haley counts those #'s in her ads. She has created less than 1/2 the jobs she says she has.

She also touted a job training and placement program as the reason the unemployment rate is going down. It is a federally funded program

State IRS hacking scandal, to save $10,000 on computer security she cost the state millions

She either lied on a job application or to the IRS. On her job application to LMC she said she was earning $125,000 Her taxes she claimed $22,000 for income

She claims she is a CPA, yet she has been fined numerous times for not paying her taxes

Her new ad out she says that SC has spent a record amount of money on road repairs. That might well be true, but my front end says different. Of course she is counting stimulus money. driving on the back roads are dangerous. One road I drive on is missing about 1/4 of the lane for about 6 feet, it has just crumbled away. Another road is nothing but patches.

She refuses expanded Medicaid.

She tried to veto funding for sex assault centers and called rape victims a "special interest group"

She approved GA dredging waste being dumped in SC, she got a nice donation from the company doing the dredging

Children dying in DCYS care. Haley hired Lillian koller to head DCYS. Despite the many complaints and kids dying haley would not fire her. The DCYS is in shambles. Experienced personnel were either fired, forced out or quit. adoptions were pushed through without telling the parents that the kids were severely abused. Foster homes have declined and the new ones are not being properly vetted. No surprise that the funding was cut and privatization had begun.

Sheheen OTOH made a gaffe. Instead of saying show her the door; he said show whore the door. All of a sudden, no one can vote for him. I never knew there were so many feminists in SC.

Unless the dems get out and vote in great numbers SC will have 4 more years of this and worse.
