I'm new to Texas I moved to Houston three weeks ago from NYC. My girlfriend is from here originally so she's happy to be back home.

Use the Houston Press to help you find all the cool places to go and eat, and generally learn more than the Chronicle will report. I'm sure your girlfriend can fill in the rest. Although, I'm native to Houston, and I still don't know it all!

There is a Battleground Texas meeting on Sunday if you are interested. I will be at a fundraiser for Juanita Jean on Saturday night but if I survive that event, I may try to go to the Battleground event
