Fresh, local produce in the Houston area.

I've been subscribing to Wood Duck Farm's CSA (Consumer-supported agriculture) for three years now and wanted to tell Houstonians about it.

Wood Duck Farm is a local farm in Cleveland, TX and they deliver weekly to approximately 16 locations in the Houston area. Their produce is fresh, non-gmo (http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/cleveland/news/food-fight-cleveland-farm-steers-clear-of-genetically-altered-seeds/article_6ed1101e-adc8-5f66-942d-9ba00b3f1885.html) and grown organically and sustainably. They also sell to high-end restaurants and to Whole Foods.

Their new season begins the week of September 23 and lasts for twelve weeks. Here's their website:

This has been a big blessing for me and my husband. It's helping to keep us to stay healthy and has been helping me to lose weight too. You just cannot beat the freshness of the food too. Let me know if anyone has any questions. As an experienced subscriber, I'd be happy to help. Van, the owner, is great at answering email questions too.

During these challenging economic times, this has been my lone shining star and I wanted to share

when I pick up my box, lol! It's funny how something basic, like fresh produce, becomes something so treasured during these hard economic times.

I found the farm on this site. Maybe you could find one that's close to you:
