Is There A Democrat Running For The U S Senate This Year?

Is there a Democrat running to replace Cornyn in the US Senate in the 2014 election? It might be wishful thinking on my part, but my DU screens are running constant little ads for Cornyn and to my mind they have the tone of someone facing a (long-overdue and richly-deserved) re-election fight come the autumn next year.


I would love to see a Texas Democrat take out Cornyn, especially after he spent primary time sucking up to the Tea-baggers.

5. Glad To Hear SOMEBODY'S Running!

I'm glad to hear that SOMEBODY'S running against Cornyn. The thought of the Texas Democratic Party letting Cornyn run unopposed, even by an unknown first-timer, rankles me.

Despite my cynicism and occasional bouts of despair concerning the pool of voting-age Texans, I fervently believe that Texas can do better than John Cornyn in the Senate.
