Greg Abbott Responds To Former Staffer's Mock "Illegal Immigrant" Round-up By Attacking Wendy Davis

The Greg Abbott campaign released an official response to their former staffer's,"Catch an Illegal Immigrant Game," and it's worse than you could imagine. The initial reaction was to quickly throw the troublemaker under the bus and attempt to wipe their hands of the matter telling the Texas Tribune, "despite social media profiles to the contrary, he's no longer working with Abbott." But, as social media raised the profile of the event organized by the UT Austin chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas, Abbott was forced to revisit the incident calling it a, "repugnant effort" in a prepared press statement.

He probably should have stopped there but he didn't, and instead allowed his response to desperately and haphazardly tailspin into a diatribe against anything that might distract potential Tea Party Republican Primary voters: abortion, Obama, Wendy Davis and even Satan worship...Yes, Satan worship.

1. Greg is a mean and nasty person

I know Greg from a former firm and Greg is not a nice person. The smarter move would be to distance himself from this event and move on. Greg is not smart and had to attack Senator Davis. Goodhair may be a stupid person but he ran some smart campaigns for governor and I doubt that he would make this mistake.

“Our campaign has no affiliation with this repugnant effort. Illegal immigration and the failed policies of the Obama Administration are no joking matter.

“Conservatives should not stoop to the levels of liberals, whose shenanigans at the Texas Capitol this summer, including chants of `hail Satan` during Senator Davis` filibuster to allow abortions after five months, did nothing but sidetrack the Texas Legislature.”
