receive no ACA money. And it is going to cost the Texas taxpayers plenty.
ACA provides for the Medicaid health care of those whose income is below the Poverty Line. Services are provided according to the document in the link below. Apparently a person can go to a hospital and get care and the hospital can bill the State of Texas. Apparently the hospital or provider can also determine if the person qualifies for Medicaid. ACA directs that the State must pay the bill whether or not the person qualifies for Medicaid in States that did not accept the ACA Medicaid Expansion. Texas taxpayers are going to be really mad at Republicans for ruining the State's budget and resulting debt. Texans paying federal yearly income taxes to fund the ACA, will lose their money to other states that accepted the Medicaid Exchange.

(53,661 posts)You really have to know these guys to understand how they think. This will be a big victory for them.
They have proposed a law to defund all public schools, to save money and preserve the family. Females will be busy homeschooling, barefoot and pregnant, as Gawd intended.
They'll say they can't afford schools, roads, etc. because they have to give healthcare to the poors.
Texas had better turn blue, and damn fast. Or it's going to be more of a financial disaster for those who want and expect social mobility and equality from a functioning social democracy.
It'll breed more hatred and discontent. That is all that the GOP ever does anymore.
