Hope you weren't planning on paying your property taxes on time
Hey people of Texas, hope you weren't planning on paying your property taxes with your federal income tax refunds. My friend does income taxes and she just checked (http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/2014-Tax-Season-to-Start-Later-Following-Government-Closure;-IRS-Sees-Heavy-Demand-As-Operations-Resume) and they are taking tax returns no earlier than Jan 28th due to the government shutdown. Property taxes paid after Feb. 1st are delinquent and you will get a fine.
