7. I've heard liberals from Austin call it that too

I was helping some dog rescue ladies round up strays in a small south texas town. I'd only met the women on-line. I was impressed that they would drive almost 200 miles to help stray animals. Then the "third world country" comments surprised me. And when they asked me what part of Mexico I was from - I think my jaw dropping open maybe gave them a clue to be a bit more open minded.
