Related: About this forumTexas GOP's Dubious Weapon Against The Truth
By Carol MorganBeaten down and bleeding from the media spotlight of Abbotts political sins, the Texas GOP quickly mounted an anemic response to bring Texas women back to their party. Will the newly-formed PAC and website, http://www.redstatewomen.com/ do the trick?
-snip-
Christi Craddick, Texas Railroad Commissioner, is the star of the video. It attempts to portray Ms. Craddick as the typical Texas everywoman who has it all, a home, family and a successful political career (which began as a lobbyist for the energy industry), but if you know the bare truth of her biography and the facts behind her 2012 election, it just doesnt fly.
-snip-
Christy Craddick is not representative of Texas women. More likely, she represents the luck of the ovarian lottery and the advantage that comes with being born into a Texas political dynasty. Those types of Texas success stories are the norm rather than the exception. The George P. Bush campaign is the most recent example.
The most galling thing is that Christy Craddicks video appearance perpetuates the worn-out stereotype that a woman cannot succeed on her own; that there must be a man behind her success. In her case, its true.

(4,695 posts)1. In the interview on WFAA, Dallas, this morning, the RedState Woman said that she and one other
Conservative woman were running the internet site and would release videos on their view of the role for women in Texas. She was unable to answer the questions of reporter Jason Whitely-Inside Texas Politics as she is dependent on something other than herself for her living.

Juanita Jean has some strong words for this lady http://www.juanitajean.com/2014/03/17/there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-republican-woman/
Honey, there is no such thing as a Republican woman. There are Republican girls but once a girl becomes a woman, she becomes a Democrat.
This is the damn strangest story. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is running for Governor of the Great State of Texas. The only problem is that Abbott aint all that fond of hooter toters. He wants to stand between women and their doctors, women and their God, women and their marriage choices, and women and their right to work for less money than men.
As you might suspect, this aint going over real big with Texas women. However, Texas girls dont mind it much, so some of them are getting paid to form a PAC called Red State Women.
Greg Abbott did not support the Lilly Ledbetter Act for Texas. Do you wanna know why?...
Women do not want equal pay for equal work. Women are very busy so they want something practical, you know, like more jobs for less pay. Better we have two jobs that dont pay the same as a man than one job that does. Because were busy. And practical. Freedom. Busy. Errrr busy.
And this is the damn leader of the Red State Women PAC. The smartest one. She is being paid. Money. Not the same as a a man would be paid, of course, because shes busy.
Look, somebody grab a dipstick and check her estrogen level. I think shes about a quart low.
The GOP is worried about losing the single suburban female vote and so is trying to confuse the issue
