Traffic Backup, Beach Access Closed, Police say There's No More Room

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII News) - CCPD is reporting traffic is bumper to bumper and backed up to Laguna Shores for those spring breakers who are trying to get to Padre Island on 361. Officers say drivers should expect delays and ask everyone to obey all traffic devices. Heavy pedestrian traffic is also being reported on the beach. Officers advise the beach is also closed to pedestrian traffic at this time. For your safety, please do not walk across Hwy 361. Officers say there simply isn't any room left. As a result beach access has been closed to anyone who isn't already at the beach from Access Road 3 to Newport Pass.

My responsibility for tonight is making certain that my father gets to the restroom before he pees on himself (although some of the partiers might need the same service).

I hope that the beach-goers have fun and don't cause too much trouble. The local media has stepped up their broadcasts of people being arrested.
