Loose bull on Texas State's campus proves why being a student in the Lone Star State is awesome

SAN MARCOS -- Students at Texas State University were surprised by an emergency alert that appeared on campus computer screens, in text messages and emails on Wednesday morning.

The alert warned students and faculty of a bull on the loose near the campus' family and consumer sciences building, which is adjacent from the student rec center.

While the bull was on campus for less than two hours, Texas State students began taking to social media with their best bull puns.

Almost immediately after the alert, one Texas State student shared a photo of the bull captioning it "THERES A BULL ON CAMPUS I REPEAT A FREAKING BULL." The tweet received more than 500 retweets and 400 favorites.
