Zika in Texas? The Virus Is Spreading Explosively Across The Americas.

Dr Peter Hotez gestured at three tires dumped on the weed-ravaged, litter-strewn roadside by a boarded-up house on Worms Street.

To Hotez they were more than an eyesore – they signified a potential health hazard, the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes that could spread the Zika virus.

The World Health Organization has warned that the virus is spreading “explosively” through the Americas, with one estimate that there could be as many as 4m infections across the continent over the next year.

anything that prevents Mexican-Americans from voting is a good thing. They will do as little as possible.

fully support Planned Parenthood, especially in terms of contraceptives and sex education.

If this horrific disease cannot be stopped--and if the consequences are as dreadful as they seem to be--many more women will be justified in seeking abortions.

God damn all those who are standing in the way of women making these important decisions for themselves!

then State care upon entering school age. GOP seems to be ignoring the Texas Constitution by appealing the funding needs and programs that the independent school districts have told the public that are needing to care for the educational needs of our children.

It is my opinion that anybody siting on a three member panel needs to be sued. There is no Texas Education Code or section of the Texas Constitution for this change in judicial decision making that I know off. More and more school aged children are coming in to Texas everyday either by moving here or being born here.

Regarding Senate Bill 455:

So how could a case filed years ago and almost at its final stage still somehow wind up back in a state district court, where the attorney general could try to use SB 455 to compel appointment of a three-judge panel that might be more sympathetic to the state’s position? For the answer to that, we refer you to the attorney general’s (and the governor’s) call for a remand of the case to the district court to take further evidence. Presumably that new evidence would relate to legislative changes enacted and educational-performance data compiled since the second round of evidence was taken after the 2013 legislative session.
