Teague ISD school bus flips, injures several students
A Teague ISD school bus carrying more than 30 children flipped over Thursday afternoon, injuring several students.
According to the Texas Department of Public safety, the school bus was traveling southbound on Interstate 45 near Centerville around 3 p.m. The bus driver attempted to exit the interstate at Texas 7, but miscalculated as she exited and drove off the raised ramp onto the ground below, causing the bus to flip, authorities said.
About 35 children were on the bus. Several were taken to area hospitals and one was flown to CHI St. Joseph's in Bryan. Authorities said none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Troopers are continuing to investigate.
