Man in custody after shooting reported at Far North Dallas hotel
A shooter has been reported at a Far North Dallas hotel.
Police told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that officers were called to the Wyndham Dallas Suites in the 7800 block of Alpha Road, near Coit Road and Interstate 635, around 2:30 p.m.
WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reports that the hotel has been partially evacuated and police are working to secure the parking lot. A SWAT team was on the scene.
Multiple media outlets reported a loud boom just after 4 p.m., and a person was brought out of the hotel on a stretcher minutes later.
