After forgery and sex scandals, ousted convicted judge wears a felony face of shame

FORT WORTH -- His is the face of deep shame.

Once a judge, now Russ Casey is judged.

"It's not what people are saying about me that hurts me," the ex-judge says. "It's the fact that what they're saying is true."

He sits across a table patiently answering my questions. His arms are folded across his chest. His face carries a hang-dog look of disgrace.

Casey got tossed from his job after 11 years as Tarrant County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace. He was ensnared in an office sex scandal, caught canoodling with his chief clerk in a multi-year affair that he called consensual, but which she called sexual harassment by her superior.
