Ken Paxton

I am all for innocent until proven guilty but I can't believe that republican voters in Texas approved another term for this guy.

What if he is found guilty and have to serve jail time?

AUSTIN — Attorney General Ken Paxton edged out Democratic challenger Justin Nelson in Tuesday’s general election, narrowly avoiding an upset for top-of-the-ticket Republicans in this year’s election.

The race for attorney general was the closest of all the statewide races in Texas outside the race for U.S. Senate. Paxton earned a a smaller share of voter support than fellow Republicans running statewide like Gov. Greg Abbott, Comptroller Glen Hegar and Land Commissioner George P. Bush, according to preliminary vote totals.

“It’s an honor to serve as Texas Attorney General. I’ll continue to fight to protect the rule of law,” read a statement from Paxton sent via text message from his campaign.
