Jeffress jumps off Trump bandwagon

First Baptist Church leader and Trump ass-kisser the Rev. Robert Jeffress is now supporting the transition of power to President-elect Joe Biden.

In a piece he wrote for Fox News, Jeffress said, “If President Biden succeeds, we all succeed. May God bless Joe Biden, and may God bless the United States of America.”

“When Joe Biden becomes president, we should commend him for the things he does right,” Jeffress tells his supporters. “We should condemn the things he does wrong. And above all, we must pray fervently for our president.”

Jeffress said before Trump was elected, the pastor told the nominee that he believed that human governments and rulers change by God’s design. Trump asked him if he thought even Obama was chosen by God, and Jeffress told him yes.

I believe the correct mode of transportation in the headline should substitute "sinking ship."

We don't want him, we don't need him. He is nothing more than a pimple on the ass of Democracy. And take Kenneth Copeland with you.

Jesus. I can’t fault anything about that.

If he supported Trump then I am confused. Trump is clearly in no way Christian. He might want to read Daniel. The king might be God’s plan but...

He was a king chosen by God because he was brutal and harsh and merciless to his enemies.
God used him as a paddle to chastise Judah. Then, God obliterated him and the Babylonians.

I'm hoping Trump became our president for similar reasons -- God using this evil swine of a man to
get us all to see how divisive, mean, and hard-hearted we have become.

I want someone to ask these faux Christians this loaded question:
What is it about Donald Trump that reminds you most of Jesus?

Is it the way in which he heartlessly wrenched away children from their parents and locked them in cages?
Is it the way in which he callously disregarded the lives of all the people who have died (and will die) from COVID?
Is it the way in which he called armed service members "losers" and "suckers" for the sacrifices they made?
Is it the way in which he defended white supremacists and racists?
Is it the way in which he has spewed an endless stream of lies and hate?
Is it the way in which he has sown discord among his brethren?
Is it the way in which he bears false witness and slander against everyone who gets in his way?
Is it the way in which he projects petty vengefulness and the boorish behavior fitting for a dictator?
Is it the way in which he lusts for money and power?

God chooses leaders?

So the whole voting thing, the whole election thing is a sham? A pointless exercise? Always was, always will be?

Can God let us know in advance, and let us know in a way that leaves no doubt?
Any angel on TV during the news hour reading a proclamation, would do nicely.

But if God chooses leaders, he needs to explain Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Vlad the Impaler, Genghis Kahn, Adolf, Vlad the Russian, and a whole stack more.
And of course, Trump.

My God isn't that nasty.

But yes, 'Obama was chosen by God', I can let that one pass.
