Movie on PBS puts Texas in odd light -- "The Revisionaries"

http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/01/26/4577780/new-film-on-pbs-puts-texas-in.html

An embarrassing movie about Texas comes to PBS this week.

Yes, another one.

This time, it's The Revisionaries. But it ought to be called Texas vs. Science.

It's a documentary on how Texas school leaders write religion into science and history books.

It "stars" Don McLeroy, an amiable dentist who rose to chairman of the State Board of Education even though he believes humans and dinosaurs walked the earth together -- Flintstones-style.

I'll have to find out when it is scheduled since it should be good for several laughs.

at Lincoln Center when it first came out. It's a very interesting documentary and truly demonstrates the backwardness of the school board. Its chair at the time was a lawyer and professor from Liberty University -- need I say more? Highly recommend it!

Damn! Anyone who watches this should feel free to bash Texas. It is deserved. We allowed this to happen and now we're reaping what we've sown.
