Texas A&M issues alert for campus-wide bomb threat for Friday

Texas A&M police are investigating a campus-wide bomb threat for Friday that was found early Thursday in a bathroom on campus.

According to information released by university officials, the credibility of the threat is “questionable” and campus has not been shut down.

The punishment for making a terroristic threat that impairs government or public service is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

The threat intended for Friday — one day before students are released for spring break — marks the fourth threat to the university since the Oct. 19 scare that cleared A&M’s 800-plus-building campus for more than four hours.
