Silverton ISD announces bond election on the ballot in May

SILVERTON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Silverton Independent School District has a announced a bond will be placed on the ballot in May.

According to the district they will be asking voters to approve $10.5 million for athletic and agricultural facility needs.

District officials said the money will help support “the continued growth of Silverton ISD athletics, agricultural education, and student opportunities.”

More information about the election will be published as it becomes available.

So, that means 10.4 million for athletics and maybe $100,000 for the other stuff?

(Isn't Texas where they keep spending millions on high school football stadiums while the state is ranked near the bottom in education?)

Vouchers for more White-Flight?
Not sustainable for public schools.
