Another snow is likely tonight and Thursday as a storm system tracks south of us, with 2-6 inches for most of our region, closer to 2 toward the I-64 corridor and closer to 6 near the North Carolina state line, perhaps locally a little more down that way. That puts most of the Roanoke and New River valleys in the middle near where models have gotten pretty stuck on about 3 inches. I still think this might be just a hair more, so perhaps a 3-4ish snow for the U.S. 460 corridor (Bluefield-Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Roanoke-Bedford-Lynchburg) with gradually more south and gradually less to the north.

A winter storm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Blacksburg for all the counties previously in a watch south of Roanoke, while two rows of counties farther north -- including Roanoke and the U.S. 460 corridor -- are now under a winter weather advisory.
