(182,802 posts)Liberty is expanding once again. New dorms that block out the horizon, new admin building, a new field house, massive road work being done just east of there on 460 by VDOT, and some sort of tower that my wife calls "the rocket to Heaven". Her family had a history with Jerry going back to high school. Not fans.

(115,691 posts)We can be sure he will have little to say to the students about their graduation (the typical graduation speech is about the challenges of facing the future) and a whole lot to say about himself and his magnificent electoral victory and how he really won the popular vote except for all those fake votes that were either really fake or cast by illegal immigrants brought across the border by George Soros, and how he had the biggest inaugural crowd ever which the fake media won't report, and how the Russia investigation is fake news and the SAD, failing media treats him so unfairly. Oh, and God.
It will be epic.

(6,113 posts)We thought that that experience was pretty bad, and it was. Can't imagine how bad this might be.
BTW Bush speech was tedious though I remember he had a couple of decent jokes. Security was almost nonexistent. I was surprised at the time by how many people booed W. I had expected more support for him in SC. Doubt Trump will be booed on Saturday. Liberty seems a much more protected environment.
