Charlottesville turnout

From the Facebook post by Charlottesville Votes

1 PM Turnout in the City of Charlottesville: 38.1% of active registered voters. Compare to 31.3% at the same time last year (gubernatorial and local election), and 43.1%, 44.4% and 45.2% respectively in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 presidential elections. We do not have comparable numbers for the last election in this cycle (2014).

Darn good midterm turn out for deep blue Charlottesville.

There is a chart here: https://www.facebook.com/CvilleVotes/photos/a.1658228534476045/1966035360362026/?type=3&theater

Charlottesville Votes is administered by the city.

It is also more than 1/2 of the total voting in the VA-05 race in 2016.

3. I hope so. I imagine Charlottesville will be set loose when redistricting happens, but

as a resident of VA-05, I added my little blue spot to their big blue blob and hope for the best for our candidate, Leslie Cockburn.
