Public Health Seattle & King County said people experiencing symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) like fever, cough, or respiratory problems should get in touch with their doctor. But because of how the virus is spread, many people dont want to be in crowds, and some doctors dont want patients flocking to their offices.
So, what should you do? You could phone it in. Literally.
Many doctors can treat patients virtually through the TelaDoc system. All you need to do is sign up for an account and you can use the service through a computer, or even your phone.
Dr. Dani Henderson is with the MultiCare Women's Center in Puyallup and can treat her patients virtually.

(54,770 posts)you have symptoms of coronavirus, flu, respiratory distress, etc.
I've used TelaDoc before and it's OK for something simple and can save an office visit.

(24,088 posts)...in a virtual visit is guess - an educated guess, to be sure, but a guess. It's not that much different from an after hours phone call.
When patients from our practice want me to prescribe an antibiotic after hours by phone, I always tell them that I need them to realize that the best I can do over the phone is guess, and I would hate to guess wrong for their child.
If I can't see it, palpate it or auscultate it, I don't want to diagnose it.
