PCC hires 70 employees, many from the restaurant industry
PCC Community Markets is on a hiring spree.
Last week, the grocer hired 70 employees to meet the sudden increase in demand, PCC’s CEO Cate Hardy said. Half of those employees were workers from the restaurant industry.
The new hires come on the heels of Gov. Jay Inslee’s March 16 announcement to close restaurants, bars and taverns to dine-in business, grinding most businesses to a halt.
“One of the great things about PCC is that we’re big enough to have an impact and small enough to be nimble,” Hardy said.
