12 Seattle police, firefighters test positive for COVID-19 so far

SEATTLE -- City of Seattle officials say a dozen police and firefighters have tested positive for COVID-19 so far.

Six Seattle firefighters are staying isolated in a hotel quarantine location while six infected Seattle Police officers are also in isolation.

A spokesperson for Mayor Jenny Durkan's office says to date, 200 Seattle first responders have had to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19.

Of those, 45 fire department employees are back on the job after completing their 14-day quarantine, and 66 police department workers who were exposed were either isolated or quarantined.
